  • Chinatown – Every metropolis has a Chinatown and Singapore is no exception; this is where old meets new, with colourful Colonial architecture and cobbled streets. The temples are amazing and make for great Instagram photos; buy herbs and spices from the local market and enjoy evening strolls along the boulevard.   • Little India – As you would expect in such a multicultural nation, there is an Indian section that you can explore. Serangoon Road is the spine of Little India, with streets that branch off; this is the oldest road in Singapore and has witnessed many important events in the history of the nation’s independence. Browse the trendy shops, hip cafes and historical temples in this most colourful of areas and don’t forget your camera to capture a few memories.
  • Maxwell food centre – A hub for the best food vendors. You can find a fusion of cuisines here; the long queues tell you where the most delicious stalls are and you will see many expats in the mornings, as they come for breakfast. Food addicts will love this oasis of fused Asian cuisines and you’re bound to try something new!
  • Best bars in Southeast Asia – If you are into sky bars, Singapore is the place to go! We rate the Long Bar, which is the home of the Singapore Sling, a drink you must try! It would take a few years to work your way through their drinks list! Atlas Bar exudes colonial luxury and should be on everyone’s list; Art Deco at its absolute best and a drinks menu to be appreciated! All the traditional cocktails are served in a unique way; we found the hardest thing to do was to leave this wonderful place!
  • Sentosa Island – There is something for everyone on Sentosa Island; a huge funfair for the kids and let’s not forget Universal Studios Singapore, where a family can happily spend the day. This island was purposely built to house tourist attractions; great beaches, theme parks and even a golf course await the visitor; the island can be reached by road and cable car, while the most visited venue has to be Universal Studios Singapore; you can experience the famous zip line over a lush green forest and let’s not forget the amazing Hard Rock Cafe, the coolest place on the island! You could spend an entire day on the island and still not see half of the attractions; take your time and enjoy the pristine beaches and the white-knuckle rides, while you have 5-star cuisine at your disposal.   • Gardens by the Bay – This stunning natural park sits on 105 hectares in the centre of Singapore, a must-see is the Cloud Forest and the conservatories that house exotic flora and fauna. See the Supertree Grove at night to appreciate it fully by immersing yourself in the colour light show; strolling among the trees is a surreal experience and one you shouldn’t miss. 
  • Historical bicycle tour – The best way to see Singapore is on two wheels and with a guided bike tour, you learn so much about the rich history that Singapore is known for. The more you know about a place, the better you can appreciate it.
  • Disappearing crafts tour – There are certain skills that have been handed down from generation to generation and they are in danger of disappearing altogether; you can watch old craftspeople work their magic and you can talk with the older residents of Singapore who will explain how life was during that time. Taste the amazing homemade ice cream and other unique Asian desserts and enjoy a look at the past.

There is so much crammed into Singapore, yet it all fits perfectly together, a blend of hi-tech, history and nature to leave an impression upon all who experience her.
